About the Authors

                 AGNES M. BRAZAL is a full-time professor at the Maryhill School of Theology (MST), Quezon City. She obtained her licentiate and doctorate in sacred theology at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. She is editor of the books, Faith on the Move: Toward a Theology of Migration in Asia and Body and Sexuality: Theological-Pastoral Perspectives of Women in Asia (Finalist, 2008 National Book Award), and has published various articles in local and international journals/collection of essays. She is consultant and former coordinator of the Ecclesia of Women in Asia (a forum for Catholic women theologians in Asia) as well as, founding member of DaKaTeo (Catholic Theological Society of the Philippines). She is married to another lay theologian, Emmanuel de Guzman, and they have a son named Nathanael who is currently in the grade school.

RESEARCH ASSOCIATES

                 MARIA PAZ CATAJAY-CORSINO is the academic coordinator of Christian Living at La Salle Green Hills Grade School. She also supervises the program for Good Manners and Right Conduct. She is currently a candidate for the degree Master of Arts in Religious Studies at the Maryhill School of Theology (MST). Her work experience includes teaching Christian Living and Values Education in primary intermediate levels, coordinating liturgical celebrations and other formation programs, and teaching Theology subjects in college. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies at St. Paul University, Quezon City.

                 BENITA H. GAMBOA is a grade school Christian Living Education teacher at the St. Theresa’s College, Quezon City. She is currently a candidate for the degree Master of Arts in Religious Studies at the Maryhill School of Theology (MST). She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Religion Teacher’s Education (BSRTE) at the Lumen Christi Catechetical Center, Stella Maris College.

                EMMANUEL S. DE GUZMAN is full-time professor and director for Theological and Pastoral Services at the St. Vincent School of Theology (SVST), Quezon City. He has been teaching theology to religion teachers, catechists, religious sisters, seminarians and priests, since 1978, both in formal and non-formal education settings. He has published articles in academic journals and had co-authored books on topics about basic ecclesial communities, the laity, theological education, and contemporary human migration. He is a founding member of DaKaTeo (Catholic Theological Society of the Philippines). He obtained his doctorate in Religious Studies from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium.

                KRISTINE C. MENESES obtained her degree in Master of Arts in Religious Studies at the Maryhill School of Theology (MST). She is an associate member of the Catholic Biblical Association of the Philippines. Currently, she is an instructor and recollection facilitator at the De La Salle College of St. Benilde. In the same college. Ms. Meneses is also a Liturgy Formator in the School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies and facilitates retreats for the hearing-impaired. She is also teaching at St. Scholastica’s College, Manila.

                AMELITA S. TONO is a grade school Christian Living Education teacher at the Colegio San Agustin, Makati. She is currently pursuing the degree on Master of Arts in Religious Studies at the Maryhill School of Theology (MST).  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics at the Arellano University. Ms. Tono was a former catechist and a Youth Leader at the San Roque Parish. She also taught Mathematics/Computer Education subjects in grade school, high school and collegiate levels.

>> Graduated with Doctorate and Masteral degrees in Geology from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, and Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration from the same university

>> An Associate Professor of the University of the Philippines – National Institute of Geological Sciences  

RIZALINA R. SANTOS, PhD

>> Obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree major in Education Management and Master of Arts degree Major in English at the Gregorio Araneta University Foundation

>> Has 40 years total teaching experience, 33 years in the elementary level in the Division of City Schools-Manila

 EMERLINDA CRUZ, PhD

>> Batikang tagasuri, editor, at konsultant ng mga aklat sa Filipino, Kasaysayan, at Social Science sa elementary hanggang kolehiyo

>> Nakapagsalin ng mga aklat sa Filipino

OLIVIA B. UNGSON, MA

>> Holds a degree in Master of Science in Teaching Physical Science from De La Salle University in Manila

>> Obtained her degree in Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines

>> Trained for Teaching Physics under the Physics Teacher’s Training Program sponsored by the National Science Development Board

>> Teaches Physics at St. Scholastica’s College, High School Department in Manila

 

DOLORES L. CATALLA, MA

>> Obtained her M.A. in Education Administration and Supervision from Manila Central University, and her B.S. Chemistry degree from MAPUA Institute of Technology

>> Held various positions at Trinitas College and Meycauayan College, including Teacher, Science Coordinator, Principal, Professor, and Dean

>> Obtained his Master’s degree in Computer Science at the Ateneo de Manila University
